The Early Literacy Foundations Initiative is a program designed to encourage strong literacy and language foundations for children 0-5 by providing a supportive professional development program for early childhood educators. The 2011-2012 academic year is the sixth year of the initiative, and 340 early care professionals in Santa Cruz County have completed at least one SEEDS of Early Literacy course since 2007!
